  I’m not going to post any more to this Tumblr. Got too busy doing stuff and looking at stuff and am now about 6 days behind. It’s a chooore. So I’m just gonna post some pics to a Facebook album and be done with it! x

  The road to Mendocino. So much to see in one day: Coastal vistas, weird victorian house at Eureka, Avenue of the Giants (awesome) and some extreeeme fog.
  We totally didn’t allow enough time to do this by the way, should you go I’d advise a whole day just to gasp at those big ole trees.

  Crescent City to Mendocino. 227 miles, 4 hours 16 mins. Time does not include stopping to look at weird houses, play with ewoks or hug a tree.

  Crescent City, California. Not the most glamourous highlight of the trip so far, but a handy stop off to see the Redwood forests… Coming soon.
  Just enough time to run around the harbour like total benny’s and check the hell out.

  From Grants Pass, Oregon to Crescent City, California. 82.8 miles. 1 hour 54 minutes. I laugh in the face of this drive today after yesterdays high altitude mare. Haha!

  Sand dunes south of Florence, Oregon. We wished we had a board - or even a tea tray would have done it. But at least we had sandwiches (not a pun).
  Basically, it’s like someone rocked up and dumped a massive mountain of golden sand here, then buggered off. Kinda weird, but look at it, it’s AWESOME. Yeah I’m wearing flip flops. ‘Low it.

  Sea Lions smell. Luckily they were down wind. The thing I like most about the sea lion picture is the seagul, bottom left. Just hanging out, not up to much.
  Oh and also - just to say, those squashed penny’s are amazing. I forgot about them, but now they are totally my new hobby. Professional tourist action.

  Newport, Oregon to Grants Pass, Oregon. 255 miles, 7 hours 23 mins.
  This map shows the route that we took - yeah probably not the most interesting post, but that little bit at the bottom that goes inland is basically ‘Bear Camp’.
  Being clueless ‘tourists’ we didn’t clock this until it was way too late to turn back. What this means is about 100 miles of crazy winding road,
  through mountainous terrain, sometimes on a dirt track and always with no barrier stopping you from plummeting down into a forresty departure.
  One minute it was ‘awesome’ then next ‘where the f**k are we?’. I was basically cacking it too much to even take pictures. But it went on and on, winding away.
  This kind of took the shine of the day, but we made it in the end and didnt get eaten by a bear, which is a bonus.
